I Before starting excavation in the oil tank area, it is necessary to wet it with water, break open the concrete, and then pour water on the sand and soil that fills the oil tank to ensure that it is completely wet.

II Cut off the power supply of the fuel dispenser, level gauge, etc., remove the flanges of the oil discharge port, oil outlet port, and oil and gas recovery pipe on the manhole cover, and remove the level gauge probe, etc.

III Open the manhole cover of the old oil tank and fill it with water. Before excavating the tank farm, to ensure safety, the old oil tank must be filled with water.

IV Disconnect the emergency shut-off valve at the bottom of the fuel dispenser, or dismantle the corrugated pipe and add a blind plate to fill and seal the oil pipeline.

V Tank farm demolition. Dismantling of tank farm cofferdams, ground tiles, operation wells, excavation of soil, dismantling of pipelines, static grounding grids, etc., cutting of oil tank ties, and cleaning of sand and soil around the tank.

VI Pump water and draw the water from the oil tank to the sewage treatment plant.

VII Use a crane to lift the oil tank out of the pit and clean the bottom of the tank area.

VIII Check the original foundation and saddle seat: If the diameter of the old tank is the same as that of the new tank, and the bottom foundation is still good, then continue to use it. If the diameter of the new and old tanks is different or the foundation is damaged or deformed, it is necessary to redo the foundation: 1. Remove the original foundation; 2. Make lime soil and compact the foundation; 3. Weaving steel cage, making saddle template, and making oil tank tie embedded parts; 4. Pouring concrete; 5. Remove the saddle template and correct the shape of the saddle.
